Language variations: “Machine Learning,” “ML,” “Statistical Learning,” “Predictive Modeling”—all potentially describing the same expertise. Miss one keyword variant, miss a great candidate.

The bilingual challenge: In global recruitment, candidates submit CVs in different languages. A Spanish-language CV mentioning “Desarrollo de Software” won’t match a search for “Software Development.”
